Yeah, I saw one at th dealership I was like, WOW! That's a nice looking car with pretty good MPG. However I opened the back passanger doors and said, WOW! This will never work for my two kids as I told my wife to have a seat and tell me what she thought of the leg room... didn't go well! I must say, the 2012 Prius has more leg room in the back VS Gen 2. At least it seems that way...
That is exactly how I feel. I traded in my gen III Prius for a CT. I love the CT, but nobody can sit behind me with my seat adjusted. The cargo area is a lot smaller also. I wish there was a better option in hatchback form that blends the MPG of the Prius with luxury of a Lexus in one. The Prius just isn't sound insulated enough for me. On the highway it is too noisy. The CT is quieter on the highway.
Wow, our 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer must be extremely loud then. The Prius is super quiet compared to it.
I haven't hooked up my aftermarket stereo system yet, since my Prius has been in the shop doing the body kit thing for the last 5 months, so I just have the stock one right now. Well, I keep movies going on my laptop (run thru the system), and I have to turn them up as loud as they will go most of the time and still have to strain to make out what is being said. I was in an Infiniti sport ute before, tho, and it was extremely quiet... If I keep this car for an extended period, I'll def have to look into doing the dynamax mat throughout the car to try to quiet it down.
My 2012 doesn't seem any noisier than my Audi was. In fact I'm a little surprised to hear you say it's noisy. But then I do think I recall hearing something about better insulation in the '12.
