Better scan tool for Gen 1

    I need to get a scan tool for the 2002 Prius Im "ahem" fixing. Im thinking Equus 3100 or Scanguage 2. Both are in my price range. Which one would be best? I know the Scangauge 2 needs a special cable but I can make it myself so that's not an issue.

    Thanks for any help or opinions.

    I have an Innova 3040. Works great. Does most of what the 3100 does.

    I think the ScanGauge II might work better for the Prius as it can be set up to show traction battery voltage and what have you (based on a forum search). The 3040 Live View does not show that.

    The maker will send you the right cable free if you ask, which is even easier than making one. :)
