I need to remove the A and C pillars for some wiring I want to do. Does anyone know how this is done on the PC?? I wouldn't want to break anything or disturb any of the air bags either.
the a-pillars are tricky with one of the clips you have to rotate. the c-is similar.. but you'll need to remove everything from the trunk area... the lower panel pieces and work your way up.
I take it that the lower panel pieces just pop off??? Or is there more to it than that. If the A pillars are tricky how about the B pillars...same as the C pillars? I could go via the roof to the B pillars and come down instead of using the A pillars. I'm going from the rear view mirror area to the console and also to the trunk area. Two way radio remote head (at the mirror) and remote mic install (in the console) for my Yaesu ft-7800.
there are screws that you need to remove for the trunk panel pieces. the b-pillars, you need to again, work from the bottom.. and move your way up.
would love to do this myself, but I read most of this and it went over my head... I get that you're installing a two way radio and a mic, hardwired into the car... other than that, it was just extra words...
I don't have time to look for it but there's a PDF in the big backup camera thread that provides instructions on how to install the camera. In it they go over the C-pillar removal, I believe.
