WoW! Your Reaction? Dang it finger hit return before I completed survey, Oh well I guess if'n you don't like it we don't want to hear about it anyway.
I said "Like it" because it's too early for me to love it. I will probably reach that state, but I need time to adjust. Tom
I think the orange block on the left is too long. It means that I can only see one reply before I need to scroll, and leaves a lot of white space for short messages. Could you make it a bit wider, and shorter? I also miss the 'first unread post' button. [edit: found it.] Other than that, I like the look.
I still get huge blank borders, but if you fix that, Corwyn's problem will only be worse. No pleasing anyone, let alone everyone.
It's different... but not disturbing... it's bolder, yet sorta pastel... it's bigger text, and cropped avatars... and it appears I am again among the counted in Fred's...
I find it hard to discern between the text and the signature lines. Maybe because I am so used to the old format,w especially since it was the same as many other forums. Icarus. PS has FhoPol gone by the wayside?
My verdict is not in - got to try it for awhile. I will say the previous vBulletin software is really hard to beat as a user interface. My guess was there would be a new look but vBulletin would still be running...that would have been my choice. It would be interesting if Danny mentions if the new forum software has any advantages from a cost or performance standpoint.
I added a couple more negative choices to the poll. Chuck., I'll have a full rundown on why we moved from vBulletin to XenForo, the new server hardware specs, etc soon. First I have to get my head above water and spend a long weekend with Nichole and the baby in Charleston.
Danny, I know this is an ultramarathon of a task and hope you get sleep in the near future. Without knowing the details, I know some software/providers run faster or cheaper, etc, etc.
Without getting into too much detail, the move had more to do with performance, features, and my dislike for the company that owns vBulletin than it did cost. There was no way that PriusChat was ever going to be upgraded past vBulletin 3.8.
I don't see the ad riding over the drop down in Firefox but then I don't see the ad. I see a blue bar with clouds on it.
