I noticed on the new board that it seems like some folks have new id's (e.g. Andyprius#1 vs. andyprius and everybody (?) vs. bwilson4web ). Any idea what's up with that? Did they forget their old password and just sign up w/a new account, as a workaround?
Well, I wasn't receiving the confirmation email when using another machine, and apparently you can't send a mod a message for help until the account is confirmed.
Hmmm. That is an interesting conundrum. Too late now, of course, but I can't think of a way to make it work.
A couple of years ago, I'd created the "everybody" account as a joke to pull the leg of some hybrid skeptics. After all, it gave me the ability to post with "Everybody knows . . ." which still cracks me up. (Ok, so I have a low humor threshold!) Well I saw in "Prius Technical Stuff" that "PriusChat" had been down so I tried to 'password recover' my bwilson4web account but I still haven't gotten a reply. Still, the password recovery mechanism lets us enter our e-mail address and one of my three e-mail accounts came back with "everybody." I (aka., everybody) went ahead and voted "neutral" on the new software with some specifics. Danny responded that he is working on the e-mail interface. I suspect once it is online, I'll be able to 'password recover' the 'bwilson4web' account and . . . everybody will go back to sleep. <grins> So until the e-mail interface is working, everybody knows who I am . . . <still cracks me up!> Bob Wilson
I am happy to report that Danny got e-mail working sometime this weekend. I was able to recover and reset my password. So I suspect everybody knows to go back to sleep for a while. <GRINS> Bob Wilson
By now, everybody should have received a PM with new password instructions. So if everybody didn't get it please let me know. I certainly hope there isn't any security breach sending personal account information to everybody. It's not as thought I sent it to just anybody, after all. (you're right, I could really have fun with this)
