The Prius conception of a jack

Discussion in 'Gen 1 Prius Plug-in 2012-2015' started by Andyprius # 1, Jun 17, 2012.

  1. It was quite a hassle getting the jack kit out, but finally got it without any further damage. Even to just get the tools out is quite a back breaker. The jack looks like the same quality as my 05, so I retired the whole kit for the next owner. I would hate to use that kit on a rainy night in the middle of nowhere. Since I saved all that weight now, I don't feel bad about carrying my doughnut spare.

Could you tell me the exact specs on the doughnut? I intend to look for one in the used parts yards. I believe the bolt pattern is 100mm, and might be common with the Corolla?? One last thing, if you "retired" the jack, how will you change to the doughnut? Thanks

  4. Look at no spare tire post, the specs on the exact size are there. I had bought a electric jack that works off the accessorie plug, used it a few times on my 05 for tire rotation. Works great. Harbor Freight for ~ $50.00
