How can you pump up your MPG? | Chronicle - WCVB Home I have always respect his engineering and life-time contributions to Prius knowledge. It is always good to hear 'local boy does good' and especially when you know he is a person of merit. Bob Wilson
<... stuff I should have left off ... my apologies> Hobbit's words have merit regardless of how he dresses, cuts his hair, or any other aspect of his personal life. Hobbit has brought more hard engineering to the Prius community than anyone beyond Patrick Wong, Doug Schaffer, Graham Davis, Clive Burk, Bob B. and a host of Prius contributors best found in the 'Prius Technical Stuff' archives. The wrapping is less important than the message and only those who live in the natural world, the world our species is barely able to understand, can we possibly, understand. Bob Wilson <rantings of a sometimes resentful old man>
Calm down, I wrote it as a compliment. It takes nothing away from Hobbit being a brilliant Prius friend and quite obviously a great guy.
Sorry. Hobbit has done a lot of great work and I recommend keeping a handy link to: Prius links Bob Wilson
It's probably the best piece I've seen on hypermiling in the general media. The only thing missing was some of the detail on the easy 20% to which Hobbit referred.
Yep. A lot of what Hobbit has written goes over my head, but I have probably read all the monographs at least a couple of times over each, and learn a bit more with each reading. He also takes superb pictures for DIY'rs. Along side Hobbit, my favorite Prius Hackers (in no particular order) are: Graham Davies Wayne Brown Patrick Wong Ken (Japan) If I could understand his stuff, I'd add Peef too.
The REAL trick with hyper mile'ing is not the whole high mileage thing ... it's to not get your fellow drivers all P-O'd
bob, how is it you always know more about what is going on in boston than i do? i almost always watch chronicle, and i missed that one. thanks!
