Just got my 25K service at the dealer. Next up is 30K service. Dealer quoted $170 for the service. From what I remembered, they do synthetic oil change, rotate tires, replace air filter and cabinet air filter, check the brake lines. Is that a good price? Is there anything else I need to have done?

That is actually a pretty good price for the factory "minimum" 30k service. Most dealers are in the $250 range. The service is fairly basic - 0w20 oil change, tire rotation, engine air filter, cabin filter, inspection. It is basically your normal $100 minor service plus two $20 air filters, but dealers get away with charging $250 for it.

At 30k, I would also recommend doing a drain and refill of the transaxle with 4qt of Toyota ATF-WS, even though Toyota considers it be lifetime fill. If you plan to keep the car for a while, the transaxle fluid drain and refill is highly recommended. I also did my engine coolant and brake fluid flush at 30k, but those two are not necessary.

Personally, when it comes to engine air filter and cabin air filter, if the dealer ever wants to do them, I DIY. Air filter is dead simple on every car. Cabin filter is easy enough on my Gen 2 (don't know about Gen 3).

There's also an unwritten rule that dealers of the manufacturer of the tire will do tire rotations for free (e.g. Goodyear stores will rotate Goodyear tires for free). I've taken advantage of that a few times before.

The 25K service was billed at around $28 but then zeroed out. I'll call the dealer and ask how much they'd charge for synthetic oil change and tire rotation and inspection. I'll do the air filters myself.

FYI--for my 30K service, I got the engine & cabin air filters for ~$25 total (including shipping) from rockauto.com.
