I have the same issues. Traffic was fine yesterday. Today it is showing nothing. Entune standing alone and not connected shows traffic just fine, but nothing on the display when connected What has happened? Thanks.
I was intrigued, so I went down stairs to my car and checked....... suspenseful music......yez! It's working now!
I think you have have it all mixed up: Entune Account From Toyota's Entune website, after the subscription period: For Display Audio, you probably need to pay at least $5/month (possibly $10/month if App subscription is required) for Data Services for traffic information (not free). For Premium HDD Nav, you $3.99/month for NavTraffic by itself or $8.99/month if you wish to bundle it with all the SiriusXM Data Services (not $15/month). Note that according to the website, these are estimates. I'm not sure the Display Audio works, but the Premium HDD Nav allows the iPhone cellular internet to be shared over Bluetooth for free via the Entune app already (no need to spend $15 for iPhone Hotspot). Also, according to the website, the complimentary data services for both are 3 years.
No cost to Entunes for three years so Nav Traffic via Entunes is free vs $15? per yr for XM Trafffic. Better to spend the money on your phone since that has lots of uses besides the car.
No, b/c XM Traffic is also free for 3 years. I think you are mixing up Display Audio and Premium HDD Nav. Display Audio only uses (non-XM) NavTraffic and Premium HDD Nav only uses XM NavTraffic. Depending on which you have, non-XM or XM NavTraffic is free for 3 years, after which you have to pay the estimated amount I listed in my last post.
Ah, Entunes is also free. This thread author was talking about their XM traffic subscription expiring and I was replying there is no need to buy XMTraffic since Entunes gives you traffic for free.
Yeah, that's me. I assumed since Nav Traffic quit working on my 3 month anniversary that I had to renew my Nav Traffic subscription with XM. That's what I had to with my 2010 Prius. I renewed it, then read the comments on this thread, then cancelled the Nav Traffic/ Nav Weather subscrption. Xm then gave me a new 3 month trial for the Xm Radio subscription. I'm good till October 23rd
I think that for those with Advanced, the Entune folks can help sort out XM data issues, but with the Basic, it is all going through your phone, so maybe that is why they suggested going to the dealer, who maybe could poke around and try to figure out what is going wrong. But the issue here seems to be an outage of the traffic info Internet servers, so no poking around on the phone is going to fix anything until the servers are fixed.
What's weird, is that in the Entune App on the phone (while it's not connected to the vehicle), all of the traffic information showed up fine, including freeway conditions, accidents, etc. So data was flowing from the Entune servers on the internet to the phone, but getting the data from the phone into the Display Audio Unit was failing. I don't know if the dealer would've been smart enough to diagnose that. To make sure that the internet via my phone is working, I'll do something like check the weather or stocks.
