so those crappy wheel COVERS are standard? crap. already disappointed and i dont even have the car yet. $390 isnt bad, actually. might have to upgrade.
You need to order it with the alloy wheels - it's much more expensive to add them later. But there are aftermarket alloys that people have used on the C - lots of threads about them if you do a search.
how can i find out the bolt pattern of the 15" crappy wheels that come with the car? should i stick with that bolt pattern?
You should stick with the bolt pattern its 4 x 100 but if you go aftermarket you need to be sure to get the correct offset.
and what is the correct offset? sorry about all the questions but i know nothing about this. i just want some cool wheels, man. thanks for all the responses.
I have not looked into the correct offset for this vehicle. - if you go to tirerack.com and put in the car information it will give you a selection of rims that fit the car. Just go through the list and see what the offsets are on those rims, be sure to take note of the rim widths as well. One user on the forum has used Gen 1 XB rims on their PriusC - so you can also look for 2006 and earlier Xb rims.
Got mine in May. There's only one 15" alloy wheel, the 8-spoke as you note; it's a $390 option on the Three and standard on the Four. The Four also has an optional 16" 8-spoke alloy.
i didnt order the alloys but i wanted them. but they somehow mysteriously ended up on my car. praise baby jesus! my dealer tells me they been sending out the 3's with alloys.... as they should! its on the higher end, give it the good wheels!
Same thing happened to me - I was expecting steelies, but when I took delivery i was pleasantly surprised to find the Alloys on my PC3
