I DO like me some grandiose numbers. OK - so it's pedal assist. 500watt motor 36v lithium pack - with just a moderte amount of assast. It's 7x more efficient than I can do in the leaf. Gotta see if I can find an e bike to drag race. .
Lol. My motor - legs + heart - are a lot more than 0.5 kw, but I tend to consume lots of energy just sitting around and watching the Olympics. I'm sure if you pedal it enough you can get it to 80 m/kwh. My last long ride was 100km but took a full six pack of beer to recharge. Electricity is much less expensive.
Wow!!! Is the motor in the rear hub or under the battery? Who makes the very best bike motors / systems?
Rear hub motor - front disk brakes. Here's their info: Electric Bikes | Electric Bicycles | E-bikes | eBikes | Electric Bikes - Pedego Electric Bikes They've even got a 48 volt model that some police departments are using. .
Nice bike. Ours is at least three years old and only 350W of assist ... more like only 350W as it is difficult to pedal. The lead acid battery is a real drag. I had gotten it thinking my wife might use it around the neighborhood but that did not work out. Bob Wilson
