My order is slated for production in October, I'm wondering if it will be a 2012 or 2013 model. Do you guys know when the model year changeover normally takes place with the Prius?
When the 2012 Prius Plug In went into production was January 2012 and I think the first deliveries were March 2012. So maybe the same holds true for 2013. In the US of A
Dealer was saying 2013 will go to production in Oct and should be delivering in Dec. I found this site too Toyota (Build Out Final Order Start Up Dates) So, it seems to confirm what he told me, but we shall see. Call your dealer and ask if they are taking orders.
I'm going to guess 2012 but it's Canada so I do not know. On the first year after a minor refresh, I'd expect it later than early.
I was just to a dealer in Wisconsin and he looked at something like a "build out" sheet and was surprised to find Oct, 6 for the 2013 Prius PHV. But he said he thinks that only the Big cities like Detroit and Chicago will be getting them any time soon.
Mine is scheduled for production in end november - start december. My dealer told me that I will get my Prius between 15 January - 15 February Here is what they said on their facebook account about the model year: Yannick Forget, this is very exciting that you're getting a Prius Plug-In. if your dealership has informed you that your Prius Plug-In is coming in Jan-Feb, then you will be getting a 2013 model.
