I bought my PiP on August 2nd. So now it's my 38th anniversary, right? I have 3314 miles on my odometer. And I haven't been anywhere...lol. Well not on any significant trips. I like to putt, errr, whirrrrr, around our small town. Lotsa whirrrrring I guess. I like this car but don't love it like I did my 2009. I think it's because with my 2009 it was all about maximizing mpg with just the ICE .... and finesse. With this one it's in two parts....Ev and once that's gone my lil head has to reorganize itself into the finesse mode. It ain't the same so far. Hopefully the love will return.
i hear you. i still haven't gotten the feel for hv mode. but today, my wife and i whirred around looking at real estate. we did 16.5 miles and had 1 mile left when we got home. pretty enjoyable, and satifying!
Yep....the whirring is great. And habit forming. Our normal driving mode is long distance (we go on a lot of cruises in our retirement and drive to the ports) so soon it's no whirring but lots of putt putting. We have a 3160 mile each way to Miami planned for the end of this month and I suspect we won't get much overnight charging...lol. And even if we talk the motel manager into allowing charging it won't last long when we're into our 500 miles per day drive. I keep trying to convince myself that in our 2009 we did the same long distance driving and it was wonderful, so hopefully I may start to love this 2012.
wow, that is long distance. you should have the pedal play down cold by the time you hit florida. we take my wifes hycam, much more comfy for us oldtimers.
