does somebody knowhow the charging sytem of the 12v aux battery of thePIP looks like ,ie, a cicuit diagram would be great thanks for your help guys
great thanks a lot, if i am understanding correctly, any time I am charging my PIP, the hybrid battery and the 12Vaux battery will be charged?
Unless the PiP is different while charging, and I doubt it is, the HV Battery is disconnected from the rest of the car by relays with power off. This would include the 12V charging circuit to the auxiliary battery.
yeah, the PIP is different. I read somewhere else in this forum that the 12 volt battery is charged by EVSE because if all you do is drive in ev then the ICE would never charge the 12 volt battery.
OK, that makes sense in a way. The HV battery is always charging the 12V battery on the regular Prius as long as power is on. It does not take the ICE to be on.
