Every time I shut down my PIP, the rear doors are locked. I've checked the child lock and it's ok. I've checked the settings (on the nav. screen) regarding the door locking/unlocking options for the vehicle, when putting it in park, etc.
how are you unlocking the doors? if you unlock the doors via SKS and only touch the driver's door, all the other doors remain locked.
From Manual page 117: Switching the door unlock function It is possible to set which doors the entry function unlocks. Step 1 - Turn the “POWER” switch off. Step 2 - When the indicator on the key surface is turned off, push and hold or for approximately 5 seconds while pushing the button on the key. The setting changes each time an operation is performed, as shown below. (When changing the setting continuously, release the buttons, wait for at least 5 seconds, and repeat Step 2 .) Driver Door Only Opens Unlocking doors Beep Hold the driver’s door handle to unlock only the driver’s door. Exterior: Beeps three times Interior: Pings once Hold the passenger’s door handle or back door opener to unlock all the doors. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All Doors Open Hold the front door handle or back door opener to unlock all the doors. i don't think there is a function where both front doors unlock and back doors stay locked. also, the doors should not lock when you power down.
Right, but if auto-lock and auto-unlock is turned off and SKS settings are left at defaults, the front driver door will unlock and everything else will stay locked. That's what I suspect is happening with OP.
perhaps they don't realize that the front passenger door is also locked. the way the post is stated makes it hard to understand. there have been many posts over the years stating, 'when i unlock drivers door, other doors do not unlock'. or, a question, 'how do i make all doors unlock when i unlock drivers door?'.
When I set the doors to unlock when putting vehicle in park, I failed to save the selection. I re-did it today and now it works properly.
