If you are in Austin you can purchase an EV subscription from Austin Energy for $25 which yields 6 months of unlimited charging at the 160+ Chargepoint Stations around town. Without the subscription, expect to pay $2/hr while plugged in.

The charge stations at WholeFoods are free but you need the Chargepoint card, which you can get for free by calling.

We have had a number of posters who were shocked that their landlord and /or employer felt that the electricity on their property, that the owner had to pay for, did not belong to the poster. I can't see how they thought otherwise, but they seem really ticked off that they should not get electricity for free.

In a related note, if you are a college student living on campus, and you steal internet service from the school, you have a sudden opportunity to be homeless and expelled. If you worked on campus, you can achieve the hat trick of homeless, unemployed, and expelled. I do not recommend it, but it is more popular that you would think.

The OP posted in some other threads with comments and questions re the PiP, including listing a price he was quoted on an Advanced. Even though his personal info hasn't been updated, it is probably safe to assume he now owns a PiP.;)

Conversely, as carbon emissions increase many conventional vehicles are going to face more limitation/higher taxes/overall cost over the life of the vehicle that will more than offset the money raised from alternative vehicles that need to be taxed a small amount for buying less gas!

Maybe so, whenever they thinks it's doable they may tax it like cigarettes to discourage continued use.

Several ways.. An easy one is watch someone login or install a keystroke monitor on their computer when they walk away that's obscure and not easily detected.
Can even send them a file that self executes via email when they open it if someone does not have decent antispyware detection installed.
Campus technology is rarely ahead of what the students know when it comes to computers.

These days, wireless bridges aimed off campus are most popular. Defeating dorm rooms speeds, quotas, or curfews used to be popular before bandwidth was cheap. (When I was a student they were cranky that I had found a router that supported 3 dial up modems at once. I tied up more than my share of campus modems and bandwidth. i haven't lived in dorms in years, but we had quotas – which were only for off-campus traffic – and none of the network speeds on any of the berkeley networks are artificially limited. i can easily pull down 30 Mbit/s on my iPhone on the campus wifi. if it's slow, it's because it's overloaded, not because some sysadmin is trying to throttle you.
but honestly – i don't know of anyone who bothers. all the long-distance stuff here is fiber, there were some trial runs with wireless bridges so to speak – but they were intentionally designed to provide students with off-campus access.
