ok so i went and got another navigation jbl unit for my 2012 prius and the same problem, everything works except the navi sound, it says go to route so it can start guidance, and i go to it and nothing, please help if anyone knows anything about this issue
some new update in regards the 2012 Prius 3, oem navi install, it looks like the system is ok since i tested 2 units and both the same, so digging a bit deeper found that there is a extension module that is needed, so i am going to get it, will post later
Well looks like you found the problem. When I had my amp installed I made sure to use all 6 channels from the head-unit, because I had heard about the speakerphone and navigation using just the front 2 speakers and some people having to return to the installer to get those features functional. Some installation procedures instruct you to run just the front left and right speaker to the amp/dsp, which can cause you to lose features. Just thought I would throw it out there. If this is what happened that would mean that the nav first comes through all speakers but then moves to just the front; sounds unlikely for this, but maybe someone will read this in the future. bluetooth phone works?
