I have a 2010 prius, and I'm at just over 50k. My question is: what is the suggested maintenance as indicated by mechanics ?, not the Toyota book and certainly not from a dealership. Thanks !! (I do regular, 5,000 mile oil changes by the way)
To add to the Toyota Book, I would do an ATF change if you have not done one yet, then every 60,000 miles after the first one. In the 120.000 mile range spark plugs, PCV valve and an evaluation of all rubber hoses is my recommendation. http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/omms/T-MMS-10Prius/pdf/2010_Prius_WMG_0W20_lr.pdf While the 50,000 maintenance is minor, if you feel it needs more, have them do the 45,000 miles plan. (Page 45 of the PDF, page 43 of the manual)
Kudos on the 5K oil Changes. JimoPalmer is correct to recommend changing ATF. I will go one step further and suggest you change "all" fluids and filters at 50K if not done previously......but then I'm just a mechanic.
