Prius mechanic in Orange county,CA?

    Anyone know of a Prius mechanic Orange county? any place but the dealer! I am looking for a place to check and possibly replace the 12V battery.Thanks in advance!

    Good luck, my 12v went out about a month ago and i called over 10 shops all over, no one replaces them. I ended up having to take it to the dealer and bite the bullet..I forget how much I had to pay but it was ridiculous. I think $240 or so..bummer isn't it?

    You can always just buy a battery from the dealer and install yourself to save the labor costs. Search priuschat; there are a lot of posts about checking and replacing 12V battery. Good luck!

    I had my 12v replaced by Import Specialties in Mission Viejo last month. $50 cheaper than dealer....and I trust Carl...great guy.
