I was checking the oil this morning and I noticed that the upper hose that connects to the coolant overflow tank may be missing a clamp. This hose goes from the overflow tank to the front of the car and connects to a plastic "Y" . The two other hoses at the "Y" have clamps and this hose has a clamp on the end at the overflow tank. The hose has no marks on it so if it needs a clamp it was never installed -- looks like it should have one. Anybody have an 2011 near.
It's been noticed on other Prius models like the Prius v. look here. Some folks claim it's heat shrinked and molded together. I just wanted one on there, a clamp is a proven method. To me it appears to be a missing part on most 2010-2012's.

Please take your cell phone and post a picture for topics like this. It is really really easy to do and it makes things alot more clear.
Oops! newbie move! I have 2007 and noticed the hose clamps issue. Mine (at about 88,000) has started to leak from the top conection (sorry no pics). Brought it to a dealer and quoted me on a NEW radiator - either $800+ or over $1000. I really hope they didn't mean for me to replace the entire radiator. I didn't get a chance to talk with the actual tech. but the notes said "radiator leaks from the top." Not very clear. I will put a clamp on tomorrow and see how the fluid levels do.
