I have halogen set up and now have the HID kit. My concern is since the battery is in back where can i install HID kit to in front without going to the back of prius. Thanks in Advance
You can tie into the positive terminal used for jump-starting your car instead of running it all the way to the back...

First, if you just put a HID kit into your halogen reflectors, slap yourself and rip them out. Either buy some projectors, or retrofit. And yes that is the jumpstart terminal. The entire point is to allow access to jump the car in the event it is needed without having to access the auxiliary battery in the passenger side triangle panel in the rear hatch. Be warned! Reverse polarity on the Prius is a $$$$ deathwish. Jump only if you have to, and take care in doing so. The tow truck driver is not someone to trust doing this.
Why? My 2008 came with Toyota OEM HID and their not projectors.... but having said that...My new retrofit Mini H1s BLOW the OEM HID kit out of the water for light output. Check out the link in my Signature.
You do realize that reflector HIDs are different than the reflector halogens right? They are not the same design as the halogen. They look similar, but if you look closely they are difference and you will notice the light thrown up is a different proportion to the light thrown up with the stock halogen reflectors.
Justdidit Was it difficult to do the retrofit? I mean getting the reflector to fit I Plan to do the same.
The reflector is different? Seems like that would be a lot of unnecessary hassle when Toyota made the assembly. What is physically different? I have a OEM HID assembly and a non-HID. I'll have to compare....
Not really - No cutting required with the Mini H1 nor the D2S - both very popular and easy to do.
