After purchasing a Mini VCI with the Techstream software I can confirm this does just about everything you need for the Prius. The device seems to be able to connect to all the ECU's, and is capable of reading and clearing fault codes, bleeding and flushing brakes, reading battery block voltages and resistance, in fact everything PC'ers are likely to want. ahaaa , you mean the lite techstream , i though you talking about the big one that used by toyota dealers , really really hope to have a free edition or something , i mean , we cant spend 500 dollar per year just for checking our cars right ?
I do not know what comes with the one for the dealers but this version is substantial at over 100 mbytes for the program and covers engine, hybryd, HVbattery, airbag, body, transmission, ABS VSC TRAC Brakes, NAV RVCAM, security, AC, TPMS, ECU's and some I'm sure I've missed.

Yes and yes, but you need to running it in a VM running Win 7. You can run Win10/11 if the VCI cable driver is a 64 bit driver. If it is a 32 bit driver you will save yourself a lot of grief just using Win 7 32-bit. Searching the Gen 2 forums will uncover a few threads that give instructions for downloading a preloaded VM that you can load into the free Oracle VirtualBox.
