Hello all ; it might be a stupid question , but i am new at hybrid world , can the OBD 2 test the the HV Battery ?? i mean , if i want to buy used car , can i bring the reader with me and test it before i but it ? Thanks guys
Check this list: http://priuschat.com/threads/gen2-prius-custom-pids-for-torque-android-app-with-formulas.95370/ and Spreedsheet All this counters should be at 0: Accumulated Time of Battery Low Accumulated Time of DC Inhibit Accumulated Time of Battery too High Accumulated Time of Hot Temperature then you have 14 battery sensors for voltage and internal resistance, and max voltage difference (max-low). How to interpret them is a different story and don't ask me.
All those 14 battery voltage indicators are useful, but you will need to test drive the car while looking at the numbers to really see if any of the cells are deviating from the rest.
thanks man , i think you used mini vci right ?? is that result mean that HV battery is perfect right ?? my last question , can i get such a result using the Bluetooth OBD2 reader (you know with toruq app) ?
Serge is saying you don't need Techstream. He prefers the Torque app and is suggesting that Abdullah Jordan use Google to search for PIDS to add. There are extensive threads on this elsewhere on this forum - search.
