Backup Beep reset itself

    So I bought an elm327 interface and doped out what I had to do to stop the backup beep. Worked like a charm a month ago. So happy! Then this morning I got in, moved the shifter to R and suddenly the beep is back. Anyone else had this or have any idea why it happened?

    Nope, did it once and it's been good since. :)

    You didn't disconnect the battery of anything?

    Nope. Had the situation with the gen II and it turned out to be loose battery connection, but this is a one month old car -- also it didn't reset the clock or anything else. Seat belt warning settings remained as I set them at the same time as the backup beep. Oh well.
