When changing out the rear cargo area incandescent bulb for a LED- I inadvertently touched the hot lead to ground, so it blew the 10amp fuse. Found the fuse location for "Dome" circuit via the owners manual "located in engine compartment fuse box". Ok- changed it out, no problems- back up and running. When changing out the front right parking light (the one over the low-beam protector lens) for LED bulb I needed light to get it in the recess and had to confirm polarity for the LED- so I left the power on for the parking lights. As I was positioning the socket- it touched ground an blew the fuse. Couldn't find any fuse in the engine compartment fuse box for the parking light circuit, so I finally referred to the owners manual. Come to find- the parking lights are in the "Tail" circuit- and that one runs through the fuse box that's located inside the car (10amp fuse number 30 fwiw). So the "Dome" light (which lights the interior of the car) fuse is in the outside fuse box. And the "Tail" (all outside lights including Parking lights, tail lights, license plate lights and side marker lights) circuit fuse is in the inside fuse box. Would think you would place outside circuit fuses in outside fuse box and inside circuit fuses in inside fuse box.... not the exact opposite like Toyota has done?
The parking / tail light fuse is also shared with the radio so it all depends on what Else is on any specific circuit.
