i was just reminded of why i neever set up Xcodes in the scanguage 2 .. it not exactly a nice walk in the park ....
What was the problem? I haven't done it for a long time but when I did it ~ 3 years ago I just followed the instruction carefully and it worked. If the only thing you need to know is the HV battery SOC then ScanGauge X-Gauge is probably the easiest way to go. I do remember reading that more recently people were having more troubles with the newer ScanGauge with newer firmware (4.0 and above?). When did you buy your ScanGauge? from my old notes for SOC X-Gauge: TXD RXF RXD MTH NAM 07E321CE 056186CE0000 3008 000A00020000 SOC
does priidash work better on an XP system than Vista, win7 or win8 ? I'll be trying those codes today on the Xguage, thanks for posting your notes ... My bigger problem (than knowing the HV state of charge) is that I can't manually turn the crank more than about 1/4 turn without binding -- not sure how the parking break, Park and Nuetral revolve around the manual turning of the crank but a few havesaid that it should turn over, even almost as easy as doing so by hand ...
I have run PriiDash on XP and Win 7 - both work fine. Have you tried using a terminal program to talk to the ELM? I use "STN term" which can be downloaded from ScanTool.net, LLC - Downloads Sounds like you are dealing with a serious mechanical problem - down the road when you make progress in fixing it PriiDash may be able to provide more info than ScanGague to help with diagnosis.
--- I'm certain it will - the 25+ guages dazzle the eye on running that simulation .. the desire to have the car running with the priiDash monitoring was very great ... I will try communicatinng with the elm and the term program .. I'll get the xguage going 1st ... and then can get see about my elm talking -- i had wanted to use an elm program to see for myself if it was even still working since the last to use it was my brother and he claimed 'it worked' -- but that was several years ago ....
I hooked up STN term and ran the buttons and got the following : (a couple things returned an error - but its just plugged into this pc on the USB, no connection to OBDII) (running on com 3) OK ATZ ATZ OK ATI ATI LSI Softmodem Version 2.2.89.2 OK AT@1 AT@1 ERROR ATSP 00 ATSP 00 ERROR ATDP ATDP 0100 NO CARRIER 100
OK at least STN Term can see your OBDUSB device. What's the baud rate shown in the drop down menu in the STN Term window? You need to set the baud rate to at least 500K to use PriiDash. Look here FAQs | Troubleshoot - Need help? Ask questions here. | PriusChat for the procedure to set the baud rate.
Finally got it put in (not a timid thing to find and enter .. had to go through that mem 0 multiple times to finally get it right ) --- and my SOC come as a read out of 26.5 ... pretty close to the bottom ..;( no easy way to charge the HV for starting a new ICE ...
