Hi all, Just bought a 2013 Prius 4 - classic silver metallic yesterday. My only grime is that the dealer added the front license plate in. To do that they had to screw two holes in the front bumper. I did not want that and really really like my prius to not have them. Any suggestions on how to fix them? I have removed the plate and am left with two holes in the bumper. Pics coming as soon as the it stops raining. Thanks !
It could be your states law that you must have a front and rear plate. You may want to check with your local dmv office. It is here in California.
Best solution (short of having holes filled and bumper painted) is: BumperPlugs I've used them on several Porsches (they used to come from the factory with the holes punched in the front bumper), and while not perfect, I was happy with outcome.
A body shop can repair the bumper and repaint it but it won't be inexpensive. Some plastic plugs as suggested earlier would be a reasonable solution if you don't want to dump a ton of money on the problem. You could paint the plugs with touch-up paint to match the bumper.
