Quick question - how do you tap the dome lights in a Prius C? Any writeups/instructions anywhere? Wanted to install some footwell lights and would to tap the dome lights to make sure they turn on/off as the rest of the lights in the car. Thanks!
i think in the cargo area, on the left panel, you will have access to a wire harness. in that harness there will be wires that are connected to the dome. since you have the c3, the wires are used for the cargo area light. you can always tap into that. or if you cant or dont want that, then you can simply tap into the front dome light and run wire from the headliner to the side and then to the footwell
do you know wires to tap in the front dome light for that? like specifically (what colour, etc.)? same for the cargo area? thanks for your help!
sorry i dont know exactly what color as i have not done this mod yet. im sure somebody else will be able to chime in
To my understanding, the cargo connector on the back isn't 100% functioning as dome lights which can be manually turned on or just shutting off. In fact, it just turns on when hatch door opens or off when door closes.
