Hi all, I'm new to the site and I am a new owner. of a used Prius My car is coming up on it's scheduled maintenance and I was wondering if there were any DIY guides anyone would recommend. Also, is it better to use ramps instead of towers with the Prius? Thank you and I appreciate your time and patience. David
Welcome! you'll find a lot of useful people on this forum. Very helpful and informative, and here is my DIY video for you. You can use a ramp, just bend the maintenance flap and you'll be able to do your oil change.
Your DIY videos are great, keep up the good work. No criticism but for those like me who may wish to use a torque wrench the values are: drain plug 27 ft-lbs, filter cap 18 ft-lbs. Also if you stop unscrewing the filter cap when oil first starts running out (there is a notch that lines up) the oil will drain from the filter and help prevent spillage.
