Toyota has been hyping this $50K pos fcv as the savior of mankind for at least a decade. Thanks for the link, I followed it here. http://www.autonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20130430/OEM06/130439981/toyota-2015-fuel-cell-vehicle-to-cost-between-50000-and-100000#axzz2S4Jqw8aa I wonder how that hype last year of toyota selling tens of thousands of fuel cell vehicles a year in the near future will work out. The article also linked this year old piece Which Carmakers Are Still Serious About Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Vehicles?
When I see a fool-cell powered by methanol or liquid ammonia or a refractory fuel cell, I'll be interested. The first pair of fuel sources because they solve the hydrogen storage problem. The second because it solves the contaminant problem. But there are so many technical problems with fool-cell technology, I'm reminded of 'fusion power'. Great in theory, still a lab curiosity.
