I was going to change wheels from winter wheels to the stock summer wheels on my 2009 Prius. The garage called and asked where I have my lug nuts. The same garage was storing my summer wheels after switching to winter wheels last fall. So, I guess the garage forgot to give me the lug nuts last fall and have misplaced them. My question: are the lug nuts used on the stock summer wheels special in some way? The garage said that they were Toyota original and that I could only get new ones at a Toyota dealer. Is that really so?
Nothing special about Prius' normal "summer" lug nuts, but when two fell off my Prius, I saved $10 and bought them at Murrays. Those are the only two that are rusting today.
