This might have been posted before, but I will not accidentally ding my new Prius in the garage. I went to Walmart and bought a swimming pool noodle ($3.88), and some rope ($2.97). I had 2 eye hooks at home. The noodle is light so I had to figure how to weigh it down. I decide to insert a PVC tube in the center of the noodle. I then drilled 2 holes in the noodle at either end. I attached some rope. Tied it to the ceiling using the eye hooks, and I was done. No more dings at our house.
That's a clever idea for a personal garage. If only those would magically lower when parked at Wal-Mart.
Someone closed the garage door with the trunk lid open. There's this metal arm that you release if you need to open/close the door when there is no power. There is a large plastic spoiler across the middle of the rear window. You get the idea...
I'm least concerned with my vehicles at home. But it depends on your parking situation. It's everywhere else that worries me. I was off today, drove my wife's SLK to Sam's Club and Wal*Mart. I couldn't have parked any further from the front door (no mans land). As I walked out of Wal*Mart, I could see her car. Couldn't believe someone parked beside it. As I approached her car, the other car was parked one spot over. No harm, no foul.
This happens to me all the time. When I park, and when I come out, many times I find 2 SUV's parked on either side of the Prius, making it very hard for me to back out.
