" Too much information running through my brain Too much information driving me insane. " To those that want it? I think a Scan Guage is great. But as for myself? There is a ceiling as to how much feedback I want to try to monitor while I'm driving. I find myself turning off the information screen on my Prius. Sometimes Ignorance can be Bliss.
I agree. And I really only use mine when I'm monitoring possible trouble (like I am now) and reading DTCs. If I had a shiny new '13 I wouldn't need it.

Have tried contacting Linear Logic(SG2 makers) yet? They are quite good about responding to emails. I got my SG2 just before the Xgauge feature came out. I never got the firmware update, because to extra features didn't seem worth the hassle and cost for my needs. Well, it ended up not playing nice with the new Sonic. The SG2 worked, but ended up disabling power steering and traction control among other things that lit up idiot lights. The fix was a firmware update, and they didn't charge me for it. Only had to pay shipping to get it to them.
It's now down to $127.99 at Amazon.com: ScanGauge II Ultra Compact 3-in-1 Automotive Computer with Customizable Real-Time Fuel Economy Digital Gauges: Automotive.
ScangaugeII™ = knowledge of things the dash gauges DON'T tell/show you...and, knowledge is power, as in: (a) knowledge of which driving techniques "work" (ie: +MPG) and which "don't" (ie: -MPG) and (b) knowledge of vehicle SPEED directly from the wheel sensor, not as a needle location on an analog dial, etc.
