I just watched a new show called Under the Dome and saw that one of the characters drives a gray PiP. Good choice of cars.
That's the first thing I noticed as well, with the wife wondering how I figured it out before the car was even in focus.
Watched it on cbs.com. so the reporter's late husband has a generator, hmmmmm, wonder if they will play the PIP into the storyline getting an emergency charge because there's no gas available SGH-T779 ? 4 Beta
I watched the second episode tonight and there were some clear shots of the PiP. Still waiting to see if it figures into the show. The "Hum" commercial was at the end.
It's an advanced model. I found another Prius on tv and it's on the show Bones. It's not a PiP, but it's still a Prius.
The electric driving capability of Prius Plug-in is a real lifesaver for the people of Chester's Mill on tonight's Under the Dome on CBS 10/9c.
That plug-in Prius is becoming a character in it's own right. In last night's episode, the camera lingers as the car's disconnected and the cables (authentic?) thrown in the hatch. There's also a mention, and sorry, I'm paraphrasing now, something like: "Here, take the Prius, it's fully charged...", followed by a set of keys being tossed. I paused the keys mid-toss (yes, I need a hobby), there's several objects hurtling through the air, one could be fob, another looks like a traditional key. Anyway, pretty blatant product placement. Actually, the show is starting to drag, we're watching it but not sure for how long. Stephen had a bit part in the season's opener, as a curmudgeon at the counter in the diner, asking for a coffee fill up. Could be the highlight of the season.
Yeah, plot summary of last night (not spoilers by any stretch): Sick and/or disabled people lay in beds/cots/blankets discussing what could have been, and so on. Several allegiances are forged and/or broken (getting to feel like Survivor). It gets kinda cold, then really cold. Never cold enough to stop a PIP tho. Then the sun comes out and it warms up.
And while the temperature is "2 degrees (presumably Fahrenheit)" some characters wear only light sweaters. The show is interesting in that it shows how many people can hate Big Jim one moment, have him make a cursory speech and all is forgiven. The dome should have let him hang.
