I have an appointment with a good window tinter this Friday for my new Black Prius, and I'm looking for suggestions on what percentage I should get an also should I just get regular tint or ceramic? I was thinking 35% all the way around, including front sides because I generally like an even look, but I'm open to suggestions.
Yeah, my last car (a Honda) was also Black and had 35% all around and I liked it, but it was some sort of metallized kind of tint so it was a bit too blue for my liking. I'm still leaning towards 35% all around on my Prius though.
35% all around would be perfect. Do tint the rear lower hatch glass using the same 35% film to "black" it out. Looks especially good on black Prius.
Thanks, yep, planning on that Question - a friend said you can tint the rear windshield a bit darker than the rest and it won't really look out of place. Should I consider doing that? How about the moonroof glass? It's factory tinted but will adding some tint film to it help anything?
Your friend is correct. You can tint it even darker than 35% to "black" it out further and it'll look great.
