Not sure if this was brought up or not. Couldn't find other similar posts - so here goes - from last month: Fukushima apocalypse: Years of ‘duct tape fixes’ could result in ‘millions of deaths’ — RT News .
you're right of course ... feel free to post any report of how the multi reactor meltdown created nothing but sunshine & children's laughter. I can't wait to hear how great this disaster actually is. .
Ouch. I love it when people put stupid words in my posts for me. Did you read any of the other articles? I think that poisoning the Pacific Ocean is a bit of a stretch....but who knows.
This is my favorite response to an article. Unless facts come from a "mainstream" source, they are not facts?
That leads to this December 2011 item: 14,000 U.S. Dead in 14 Weeks After Fukushima Meltdown. Huh? Please excuse me while I don some hearing protection for the BS alarm ringing next to my ears. Can anyone point me to the other studies?
BS is apparenly par for the course with "mainstream" media too: From Reuters ~ Record radiation readings near Fukushima contaminated water tanks| Reuters But if it becomes a non issue when tabloids publish newsworthy topics - I don't know what to say .
Time will tell how big a disaster this is. There are far too many unknowns to say, just yet. It's certainly not over by any means.
Isn't an apocalypse supposed to mean something like imminent destruction of the world, total global devastation, another Republican in the White House, THAT type of stuff? Fukushima apocalypse: Years of ‘duct tape fixes’ could result in ‘millions of deaths’ Really? Seriously? I think that a trio of reactor meltdowns is serious enough without the tabloid-inspired headlines, to say nothing of the article itself.
They scrambled to find a quick fix post earthquake. Now they are scrambling to find a permanent fix for the quick fix. Doomsday? Probably not. But it is going to be a major issue. I believe they rated this recent leak as a "3" on their disaster scale. BBC News - Fukushima radiation levels '18 times higher' than thought
I do agree that the 'MSM' carries considerable BS. But that doesn't elevate the tabloid content at all. I'd still like to see something about those two so-called 'peer-reviewed scientific studies' showing considerable increased mortality already happening over here. I'm skeptical of anything claiming the Fukushima is worse over here than what I've already experienced as a Hanford & Nevada Downwinder.
They are now releasing additional radio active water which gets in the environment, the food chain and the stream onward to West Coast of USA. The ice wall is that still on the drawing board?
Ice wall is a go. BBC News - Fukushima leaks: Japan pledges $470m for 'ice wall' Fukushima N-Plant Will Be Surrounded by a Wall of Ice - The Daily Beast Plant is leaking 400 tons of water per day, not sure how long the wall will take.
S So you are saying the article is factual? It seems to me to be anything but...a lot of unsupported paranoia in furtherance of somebodies agenda.
I also heard that They are seeking American Engineering support on how to resolve the issue besides a hose pouring water on the hot core. This is the worst nightmare. Perhaps Obama should concentrate on this problem and stop beating his chest and ranting and raving about Syria
