2008 service needed.....only have 18,500 miles!!!!

    Please advise what individual service items are needed for my very low mileage Prius.....Have had regular oil changes throughout the years.

    I would suggest you follow the maintenance schedule that it is in the owner's manual. You can also register your Toyota Prius Toyota Owners Official Web Site: Service Coupons, Owner's Manuals, Service Scheduling And More and get suggestions there as well as any records of work that dealers have done in the past.

    1. Has the 12V battery been replaced recently? If not, what means do you use to keep the 12V battery charged since the car is driven so lightly? If you have any concern about the battery's condition you may want to replace it as a preventive measure.

    2. How frequently was the engine oil/oil filter changed? It should be replaced at 5K mile intervals or at least annually.

    Yes, the 12 V battery has been replaced; and the oil/filter are changed more than once annually--thanks!

    thanks everyone--I had my rear brakes cleaned, tires balanced and toe aligned, oil changed and wipers changed--all went great@!
