Map update?

    When was the last time the map was updated? I've read here that the map update can cost $169 (much more than the cost of a good stand-along GPS!), but I haven't seen any direct references about there being a new version. If it hasn't ben updated recently, does Toyota offer updates on a regular basis? How can I see what version of the map I'm running?

    you cant get map updates as far as i know because its only for hdd systems
    i see you have a base prius plug in that cant get map updates
    correct me if im wrong, anyone?

    The new systems (flash or HDD based) get updated via USB port
