Hello, I recently bought a used 2010 Prius and I've noticed that the Windshield wiper position on the passenger side stops below the windshield. This causes a slight "thunking" sound when the wipers are going. I'm trying to see if this is something that is relatively easy to fix myself. Judging by the position if I move the passenger side up I'll also have to move the driver side. Thanks, Ben
welcome to priuschat! if it's like most wipers, there's a nut under the cap at the base and the arm sits on a spline, so you would pull it off and remount in the correct position, replace nut and cap and you're all set, hopefully. all the best!
Is it the same for the driver side arm? That's the one that concerns me since it's such a large mounting.
it should be, but i don't understand why you have to move the drivers arm if it's stopping in the correct location.
If I move the Passenger side up then I have to move the driver side up as well since they'll overlap if I don't.
as a reference, in the off position, my wipers are sitting about 2-3" above the bottom of the windshield with the drivers side sitting anout an inch higher than the passenger side at the area where they over lap by an inch or so.
