What is all the noise that the Prius makes when the drivers door is opened? Sounds like a robot waking up.
It's apparently pressurizing something in the break system. If you want to avoid it, say when you just need to get something left in the car, it's only the driver's door that triggers it. The car makes some other noises too, an hour or more after shutdown I'll sometimes hear a sporadic clunking, goes on for about 20 seconds. Think I read what that was, but forget.
