Hi all, i'm john from west coast Scotland, i seek of advice on whether to be an owner of a 2007 Prius with 40k gen miles on the clock, its located at partners parents in Spain, Ive been offered it as its awkward to sell a r/hand in Spain so i either drive/transport it 2800 miles to keep or sell. selling i split the money with father in law, i keep it i sell my 2007 1.4 Astra estate with 116k on the clock any recommendations or advice will be welcomed
If you sell it, I would know someone in span that would want to buy it. They wouldn't mind a r/hand drive as they are English people and they always drive on the wrong side of the road.
In the U.S. Toyota has a very good record for building cars that last and have few needs. I don't know how that reputation stands on your side of the pond. But here, I would not have problems with a used Prius of that mileage. Our 38.5k mile 2009 Prius is in great shape, and I expect it to provide many years of no drama. As for selling it, you would know the local economies better than I.
Thanks JC i will bear that in mind as the cost for transporting it is 900 British pounds (1497.42 US Dollar) i go on break there at end of April so i guess a test drive will let me decide, another decider is rear space with the seats flat as we do fairs around Scotland so storage is an issue
Thanks also Mr Inc. getting feedback from an existing owner is essential, im very tempted, UK fuel prices is very steep as with our annual road tax where i currently pay £150 $249 just to have the joy of driving our pot holed roads legally.. with the Prius its exempt Regards John
One of our Senior members here "BritPrius" loves the fuel savings of his Prius. The prices of fuel in Europe will make purchasing a Prius a no brainer.
