2015 Lexus NX U.S. Specs Confirmed: Video "The NX 300h features the same powertrain found in Lexus’s 2015 RC 300h. It combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine running an Atkinson cycle with an electric motor, and also comes with the choice of front- or all-wheel drive. Peak output for this model is 194 horsepower." "Tech features on the NX include a wireless charging tray, a touchpad interface [good, because I hate their current joystick interface...], adaptive cruise control, pre-collision safety systems, and additional warning systems for blind spots, cross traffic and lane departure." and for those in NYC, it is also being shown there... Surprise NY Auto Show Appearance: New 2015 Lexus NX Crossover
+1. Hope Lexus/Toyota has a plugin version. Thinking of the Outlander PHEV if Lexus cannot pull it off.
Nice interior colour...but the "Darth Vader" grill is UGLY. Q: When are car manufacturers gonna *learn* that a BLACK interior in a SMALL car is claustrophobic?
I agree. I also see more people saying the same about the front, but it seems to be a direction Lexus is fully committed to for the foreseeable future.
2015 Lexus NX / NX200t / NX300h Crossover Photos and Info – News – Car and Driver It says its the same hybrid system as in the ESh which is the camry one, no direct injection. That drivetrain is 200 hp this year, so I can only imagine that they cut 5 kw from the battery, perhaps to save space or money, or the ice hp drops for some reason versus the other cars with this ice. I didn't read anything about eAWD, but its there. http://www.lexus.com/concept/NX/_pdf/NX_Beijing_April_20.pdf This thing should be a nice upgrade for those escape hybrid owners, and a higher mpg lux CUV alternative to the RXh. My guess is 37 city 31 hwy, but we will see when they release more information.
…yes, but has anyone actually listened carefully to the marketing-pseudo-techno-babble-shyte? …some of the gems are "…expressing hospitality" ??? "…usability according to usage situation" (…gotta love that one!) "…with about three times the number of levels" (????) (about three??? not two or four???) Who the hell is writing this stuff???? - Wil
PC's own Dianne has already said Toyota's attitude towards offering a PiP 'v' option is a big ol "Forget it". More than likely, that's because Toyota wants to waste all its R&D money on their Hydrogen Hoax ... and their fantasy race against the equally wasteful honda clarity. So we're supposed to be greatful - we're lucky to get any plug in at all, in any limited quantity at all. That being the case, the hyhi ... as well as the the RX won't ever get a plug, imo. I'd get another RX in a heart beat if Toyota/Lexus was willing. But since Toyota doesn't seem interested in expanding their plugin offering - our family will have to settle on the Mitsu SUV Outlander plug-in, which is already being delivered in other countries. We're bummed that we feel we're being forced away from our chosen brand. .
