Is a car a status symbol, or just a tool? Cadillac vs Ford: the ad battle over American values | Guardian Sustainable Business | theguardian.com
I liked the Caddy ad from the '50's. Bring back the remote open & close hatch, remove the B pillar, and include the chauffeur. Even better if the chauffeur is Hyundai's Hotbot. Sorry, Ford. Who wants to collect food waste & sh!t in their new EV? Not me. Motor vehicles have always been personal statements & status symbols. The day they become "just tools" is the day only the stripped base model is offered.
The black lady would. She is CEO of Detroit Dirt..... also that's a hybrid not an EV. Detroit Dirt - Urban Renewal From the Ground Up
I could not care less about making a statement or the opinion of others about my car. I do have distinct preferences and priorities though about what I want from a car.
