Simon quoted that he could obtain a Plug In Advanced. When I got there, no one could obtain the car! Wasted my time. Be careful if you go there!
Of course they can "obtain" one. It is going to cost you. They don't move cars around the country for free. The local dealer here didn't even know Toyota sold a Plug-In Prius. When I asked them to check and see how much to get one here, they quoted MSRP plus dealer charges and $795 to move it from California. They wouldn't even move it until the deal was done. I walked away and we are looking to fly out to Cali to buy and drive back ourselves. Franchised dealers are pretty useless.
No surprise there. If you've bought enough cars and dealt with enough dealerships, this almost sounds like common practice to get you into the dealership. It's not their gas and time that's being wasted. The goal is to frustrate and wear you down.....then you give up and take whatever is in front of you.
