Today, I heard the most hurtful sound when I come out of a steeper driveway. So I pulled my car on the side and took look at what happened before I left there. I could not find anything damaged. What a relief! So I left there. When I got home, I had a chance to check carefully the underneath of my front bumper. I turned on the MAX power of my OCD mode. Lol Passenger side, okay. Underneath of Driver side, scrapes!!! >.< (I can not still see any scratch on my car though unless I take a look underneath of front bumper.) I hate my OCD & all steep driveways. ;(
If you just have to go up a steep driveway, go up it at an angle instead of straight up or straight down. I find that helps but better naturally to avoid steep driveways if you can.
now that you've scraped it, you can hit those steep driveways running, and pull right up to parking curbs!
Really, it does take some of the pressure off because it seems you are just on edge waiting for that first scratch or scrape to happen. It seems with every new car I buy I get it "christened" in the first 60 days. It never fails.
