I left the trunk of my 2007 Prius open long enough for the light to drain the battery. Once I jumped it, I was able to drive the 100 miles home, even though the red triangle warning light was on. Now when I turn the car on, there's a light I've never seen before, as seen in the attached image. Can anyone help me diagnose this error?
There are a number of causes for that light to appear. It is necessary to get the codes read to be sure. However, if there are 12V problems such as you experienced, do charge 12V battery fully with a small battery charger. A trip of 100 miles will not charge it completely. Unfortunately, the tales of Prius' having problems due to incorrect jump procedure is common enough here. Not saying this is the case, but more info is needed.
Maybe it was a charging issue, as you suggest — for after running a few more errands, the light seems to have gone away (for now?).
If you tried to start with a low 12V battery, any number of false, transient error conditions can be generated as the computers fail to boot up properly. Hopefully you are good. Still, put a charger on the 12V.
