I've been searching everywhere on the web for an answer to this, and I'm hoping this is the place I'll get it. I just lost the last key (I know, I'm an idiot for not making a copy when I had the chance) to my Prius. Any idea how much that is going to be?

How about "tow" him and his equipment to you? Last time I had same issue, got a quote from autobeyours in Indiana for two keys and the internal electronic units for total of $700. I did not buy it because I found my key later.
It's not extra cover, it's the plug membership. It's more expensive than the basic membership. They have 3 tiers of membership, plus is the middle one. The upper tier one gives you 200 miles tow.
