Quad switcher/multiplexer on ebay- $32 4-CH Channel CCTV Quad Video Camera Processor System kit splitter switcher COLOR
Here is the smart one that triggers off of turn signals, etc. intelligent car camera quad four channel video control box switch for front /side/rear control 4 way car camera system-in Integrated Circuits from Electronic Components & Supplies on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group
Too late, already done. Besides, there's no way I'm gonna mess with the video settings when I'm driving. That's why I made it auto switching via turn signals. Anything more than that is unsafe to use while driving. All of the options you've shown are for 4 cameras. In order to use 6 cameras, I'd have to buy multiple/combination of video processors. My switcher works a lot like the one sold on Alibaba.
The cable is specifically for adding a VTR (composite video) input to the head unit, with its own source-select option on the menu. I believe the video signal can also be tied into the backup camera circuit wires, but details are sketchy so far, and I'm not sure exactly how its done.
Ok thanks. Did you check out the quad camera control from aliexpress posted above? Will the speed lock over-ride sold through priuschat work to allow access to video instead of purchasing the beatsonic $240 one?
Here is a two channel video switch which could be used to 'Y' the rear camera input. Aliexpress.com : Buy intelligent car camera two way channel video control switch for front /side/rear car camera system from Reliable switch limiter suppliers on Jimmy Car Dealer
I opted out of buying the over-ride because I can lightly tap the parking brake to get the same effect.
But then you would still have to travel less than 5 MPG to use the front and side mirror. The new SLO1 bypass solves this.
From my own driving experience, it's useless to only be able to activate the cameras at such slow speed. My automatic parking can do up to 5mph and even at that speed, it's too slow. SLO1 replaces V1 and V1V in the PriusChat Shop. I'm still waiting for Danny to update the info on the shop.
To each their own, but I'm not spending hundreds of dollars for a speed-over-ride, when all I use the front camera for is to see where the parking block is, so I don't break the spoiler. It works perfectly for the purpose for which I designed it.
Pick up a Camera and a display unit. I also used a dual circuit blade adaptor to get power from fusebox and make installation easier. Install a front mounted camera by putting the Camera in the front grill. Run the red wire to the fusebox and using a dual circuit blade adaptor. tie it to an inline push or toggle switch that lights up when being used. When the switch is activated the Display will come on and show the front view. I can send you a PDF wiring guide if you want to contact me. This should work fine
