I have noticed when I am doing a quicker U turn around 10mph I hear grinding somewhere up front. Is this normal?
no. have someone perform the uturn in a parking lot while you stand near the front tyres to see if anything is rubbing.
There are several threads discussing this. Does your ABS or traction control lights go on? If they do, then it is your ABS system pulsing the brakes because the traction control system constantly monitors individual wheel speed. When making a sharp U turn, the inside and outside wheels travel at different speeds causing the system to think there is a wheel slipping (outside wheel) in the turn. If it bothers you, either ignore it, or slow down. SCH-I535
yeah this is just traction control kicking in (technically speaking ABS only kicks in when you are braking, so it can't really be active if you aren't braking lol). you can achieve the same effect by taking a "plain" turn too fast. generally this is easier to do with right turns since they are more likely to be sharp. it is unsettling and annoying as hell. learn where the boundary is and try to stay out of the zone.
