Has anyone converted your prius with a PHEV conversion kit? I recently got my 2010 Prius converted. by far there is no problem. I can go on EV mode for about 38km when kit is fully charged. It goes quietly. The feeling is good. But I am not sure about whether it will go well.
You could read this forum for more info: Prius PHEV Plug-In Modifications | PriusChat However, posting in GenIII forum would be better.
a few have tried it with moderate success. can you tell us more details of your installation? thanks!
I have converted many Prii to PHEV. I'm interested if you have an Acrel kit, and if so what version. (especially BMS version.) I have been watching European-shipped versions of Acrel and MD-Tech. They look good but there are still some pack (un)balancing issues over time. Watch your pack voltage data carefully. Especially voltages at the end of charge and end of discharge. Manually correcting the imbalances will keep your battery pack in top health. Ignoring it and assuming everything is OK is a big mistake. Watch the data like a hawk and prepare to address any anomalies.
thanks priusonline, i hope you have great success with it, i agree with you, driving electric is the best!
When you get a chance, would you be willing to email me some data from you memory card? I'd like to see some more real life data from the latest systems. My email address is in my signature. [email protected] Thanks in advance.
